soulful

This alternative group has a better understanding of what a good music is, they are able to leverage the quality of music with an outstanding artistry. Dishwalla’s hit songs like Home, Every little thing, Once in a while, Opaline etc. keeps playing on my ears these past few days. indeed, Dishwalla rocks…hats off in making good songs that traverses to the soul.

Last weekend has been rough for me, things happen unexpectedly. If theres any consolation, my psp has come to life. Oh yeah after the tragic Ondoy, i was told by the technician from Gogadgets that the board is for replacement, it would be impractical for me to continue with the offer with the price he estimated. so i told myself let me back up a little and think if ill be selling this instead. shit happens yesterday, got to go somewhere else, my brother and i went to greenhills main where trading and selling is like mayhem. so i found this small store, “Brutos” (sounds like Popeye’s Brutus, heheh) technician offered to check first the unit, try to repair and if not then he can consider buying my psp parts. sounds like a good offer at first, but when he told me that it’ll cost me PHP1.5k i thought that its overpricing comparing it with Pinoypsps, anyhow i let him do his stuff, for as long as the unit will work then no problem for me. and so he did, he replaced some small parts on the board, and after 30 minutes of waiting, my psp is back. as my brother say that “business is business” we are now faced with marketing strategies like offering upgrade to higher firmware, changing the rubber of X button, changing LCD film cuz of the remnants on the screen, install games blah blah all some sorts of tweaking that will cost me much. i just dont get it when stores are selling downloaded games like P50 pesos each, i mean what the hell, they should package it for free, since they do not patent it, they are also the voracious users of the internet. In the end i have my repaired psp with firmware version 5.00 M-33 that wont require me to use UMD anymore, which is a power saving technique for me.

so as they say that even if shit happens, something really good can come out. i just hope that all the shits will soon end.

Moving forward

Saturday. I went to Gogadgets in Gilmore to have a look at my PSP. This gadget of mine got flooded by Ondoy, though I know the chances that it might not work or cannot be repaired, I still need closure so I can sell the accessories of it.

It feels nice seeing the same route again, the memories when Im still working at K-pointe, came back, of course this time a bit different; the LRT station of Santolan to Recto smells like shit, and that is due to tons of garbage under the Marcos Highway bridge due to the typhoon Ondoy. Im perplexed to see the remnants of it. The dust are everywhere around the Santolan LRT station. I can now imagine what this place has gone through. I remember my share of sentiments surviving Ondoy and hoping not to ever encounter that same situation again.

When I get there it took the technician almost 2 hours of checking which part could possibly causing the failure why my PSP screen is not turning on. A lot of cleanup, trial and error, isolation or parts and still to no avail. He concluded that the board is worn out. Replacement might cost PHP4,000, wherein you can add thousands more to it then you buy a brand new PSP-3000. However I told myself not to buy PSP within this year. Surprisingly, I have the hunch of a possible outcome, I easily accepted the idea of losing my PSP and looking forward of selling the parts and its accessories. After Ondoy I realized that you could lose any material stuff at one snap, much more with losing your life and the lives of your loved-ones.

Ondoy and Pepeng taught us a great realization. We become cautious, sensible and appreciative of what we truly have. We become thankful of the small things, of being able to spend time with our family. Courage and cooperation arises during tough times cuz we become one nation. We become religiously inclined and uplifted our personal relation to God. We become human and we learn to live.

Opposite Reaction

It feels hard mistakenly interpreting our actions. We are who we are and what we do. If our actions are opposite the norms of the society, we become the mockery in the office or even at home.

let us take for instance a guy who has shown a great affection to his lady friend, but the lady friend can only offer friendship. the guy continues to do his affections by doing special things to the girl, like maybe risking his own life for the girl. the girl appreciates it, but she does not want for the guy to keep on doing those things simpy because its uncalled for. the girl believes that there are lots of ways to show your concern and care for someone but not to the extent that as if they are boyfriends and girlfriends. the girl is affected by this situation cuz at the end of the day, its as if the girl is giving false hopes to the guy, some would think she is using him. they become the center of controversy in the office, everyday being teased.

the guy is pestered with the idea whenever the lady says that he does not need to do stuff for her. for the guy, its more than that, but he just cannot tell the truth. the girl wants to stop any special things the guy is doing simply because they are not in a relationship. the guy will simply stop for few days, when he is back, he will do those stuff again.

these are the victims of the common social perceptions. mockery begins from the people around, the actions of the two individuals are changing based on what the society thinks about them. the guy may just be too affectionate, but always being teased for his intentions. the lady is appreciative of it but she does not the guys action overdone.

yosi kadiri

even the greatest player, MJ himself, could not escape the controversy of cigarette smoking in San Francisco. The city happens to absolutely hate "smoking" and this happens to be MJ's favorite habit when playing golf. PGA received a letter from the Recreation and Park general manager Phil Ginsburg, reminding the entire team not to smoke since its illegal.

Anyone can get out of it with $100 fine, so I'm thinking Jordan could smoke enough to give the entire city cancer and he would still be fine.

FudTrip before the night of tomguts

stacker.jpgtwas only recently when we tried Stackers in Eastwood Libis, where I ordered the cheeseburger and caramel sundae. i like the burger and will try the rest of it, it tastes like roasted but the American cheese is a lot noticeable. As for the sundae, hmm so-so cuz its like a typical caramel sundae from a food-chain. its nice that Stackers got a branch here in Libis, cuz for someone like me who works here in Libis, we are wanting to have more food choices.

we tried this last saturday, the same day i got stranded. so technically this is the last food i had before ako magutom ng husto, heheh. we all have our "first-time" -- so first time ko sa Stackers at the same time, first time ko ding ma stranded...perfect combination. :P
