realization

it feels different whenever i see an old lady, at probably at the age of 70-80, working her ass off just to survive, selling "kakanin" in the streets....she needs to do that everyday para may pang arya, pambaon ng apo and panghapunan. everyone else is busy to notice her. but i do. maybe because i thought, for someone at her age, she should already have a better life, resting at home. where are her family? bat nila hinahayaan na magbilad sya sa arawan, magkaron lang ng makakain sa hapag kainan? im not against, working per se. im against making the grannies work for the young ones. darn.

The Brave One. a movie that stars Jodie Foster as the victim of cruelty in Manhattan, being beaten up by 3 black teenagers, who killed her fiance. the trauma it caused her, turn her to be a stranger of her own, where "killing" becomes necessary. revenge is sweeter.

will smith nailed his role in the movie, In pursuit of happyness, where Chris Gardner is a salesman who turned out to be a successful stock broker. the family invested money in a portable scanner which Chris used to sell to doctors, but selling has always been a challenge for him. since Chris being a salesman does not have any salary and put the family to debt. As he struggles to provide for the family, Chris becomes interested in the stock internship. however, only 1 out of 20 gets the job, training is gonna be for 6 months, without salary. his goal is to complete the intern program and become the sole trainee the firm will hire. whats interesting about this movie, is despite of the hardships and challenges, Chris was able to get by.

so what is happiness? for me the time you are not expecting for anything and something really good came up, thats happiness. when u get a bonus paycheck unexpectedly, every second you spend with your partner, when your baby smiles for the first time, when someone says i love you to you, when your boss says uve done a great job, and a whole lot of intangible things can make you happy.

i dont get it

i really dont get it....i said to myself, whenever people keep on asking for the obvious stuff. first of all, the reason why we document everything is to make things transparent for the next person. what makes it more absurd, is that im writing down everything to avoid confusion and im gonna get a message asking me what happen to the case...id like to scream and say, just read the fucking notes! the kick is I always get that question from that same person. well my guess would be, she just cant read. in addition to that, i dont get it when ppl asked me why i dont have any friendster account and they are raising their eyebrows. truth to be told, im not a fan of it. i hate the concept of friend's list marathon. id rather stay quiet cuz i might say something they could not take.

alrighty enough of those thingy. i was able to watch the first two episodes of the celebrity apprentice and gotta say im surprise to see Lennox (heavyweight boxing champ) and UFC player randy ortiz, the 2 muscular hunks following different tasks given by donald trump. an interview with trump, he says he will be firing those high profile celebrities in which they will look like a begging dog, hehhe. for the ladies...well Omorosa, from the old apprentice season, is bitch as ever. whats new on this season is that the winning team will be able to watch whats happening in the board room. for the first 2 episodes, guys have been enjoying this privilege.

tv updates

American Idol = Other than Jason Castro, Michael had this distinct pop alternative voice and became remarkable when he performed the songs of the legendary band, the Queen...but America is opting for another talent, unfortunately he has to say goodbye this week.

The Apprentice = Is Donald Trump getting tired of firing somebody? I guess not. Season 7, the celebrity edition of the show the apprentice had just ended last 27th or March where 13 members felt the wrath of "you are fired" and Piers Morgan, got hired. This season features celebrity candidates vying to be included on Trumps Organization, with the winner donating their proceeds to charity. Ahh I gotta watch this.

ang panget...pero eto ang naiisip kong pwedeng mangyari saken after i ate a plate of rice and lechon while doing a web session with a caller. multi tasking at its finest. kakasimula ko pa lang sa work, may pahanda ng food para sa mga bday celebrants for the month of march. wow, at dahil dyan nagpapasalamat ang mga tao dito dahil walang month ang walang bday celebrants...hmmm

lechon, pampabata, kundi ba naman hinde ka na aabutin ng pagtanda mo if puro ganto lang ang kakainin mo. teka, sumasaket ang batok ko, kelangan ko atang matulog..hep hep, bawal matulog ang mga bagong kaen lang lalo na sa mga mejo nahihilo pagka nabusog, because this is a sign of hypertension.

khit ano pa man yan, i enjoyed my plate of lechon, sarap eh heheh!

you do the math

life is full of mathematics. 143 sends a special meaning for us. we calculate the number of days left before school ends, you remember the number of books you had read, you measure the length of years you spent working, the plotted number of killings yearly, the calorie intake per bar of chocolate, you count the number of months of being together as a couple, you weigh the value of aggravating discussions, the number of hateful days of useless fights, the digits of your salary, and mind you we are a lot better in arithmetic counting the times your professor says his favorite word, 0.5 differential is a big thing for stock brokers, how you hate 5.0 when you get that grade in physics, how 8lbs was added to your weight without you even noticing it.

we measure a lot of things as we would like to prove that things are factual, how realistic it can be. for us, math becomes everything. we depend on math highly because it is systematic. one plus one is always two, can never be interchangeable. pretty basic operation.

if i were to think of mathematical equations in my life, i may know some formulas but when it comes to substitutions of "real values," i became a little skeptical.

Let:
respect + acceptance = love
but: love - respect is not equal to acceptance?

of course you cannot say that you love somebody without respecting that person and validating that you indeed accept that person for whoever he/she is. in this sense, where does math go? who is your highest "prime number?" can you prove that all aspects in your life are perpendicular? in a geometric plane, how do you measure priorities? applying the phytagorean theorem, give the value of your partner and your family?

i certainly love math and i know ill be using it for the rest of my life. math makes me define the measurable ones, it gives me different vision about the complexities of life. i wonder sometimes if i created a special mathematical formula without me realizing it??? what if im a number genius? what if i am alreay applying the theorem itself? what if i have discovered the greatest value of the prime number long before i learn to read?

enough, im getting too far already, heheh. math can get you crazy sometimes hehe.
